Thinking of Anais Nin: Book Tastings

Two Book Tastings

“We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospection.”
–Anaïs Nin

We have added two out-of-print books to this site — Stars in My Sky and Celebration — both books originally published by Magic Circle Press and until now available only in used book stores. We present these works as a gift to members of the international community who do not have ready access to books like these. Anaïs loved small presses, and of course readers of her Diary know of her own small press work. These two small press books retain their original vitality and share much of the vision that was Anaïs. She would have loved that the magic circle of words past spirals ever outward into our present. Our Dante A. Bacani, like Shakespeare’s Prospero, has created this translation — perhaps a first for the small press community. “What’s past is prologue, what’s to come, in yours and my discharge.” (Antonio in Act II, scene 1, The Tempest)
